Student

Hannah Shin is a senior at North Allegheny Senior High School and serves as a Youth Board Co-Chair for the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh. Hannah has been heavily involved with the Council for the past four years, whether it be moderating panel discussions and student conversations, serving as the Innovation and Research Fellow, serving on design/advisory committees, representing youth across Pittsburgh through video/written testimonials, and more. She is thrilled to be moderating another panel discussion as she loves facilitation.

Hannah’s lifelong dream is to create a better world for our elderly, advocating for seniors and creating innovative solutions for advancing sustainability of the elderly community. She is deeply passionate about service, community-based advocacy, and interdisciplinary education, and she aims to pursue a mix of business and law and continue to serve seniors.

Outside of the Council, Hannah serves as the Pennsylvania DECA State President and as one of eight members worldwide on the Rotary International Interact Advisory Council. She directs the Elderly Embrace Care Network, a senior-focused media nonprofit that she founded, and is heavily involved in her school district as the School Board Student Representative and as Head Captain of a community-wide fundraising coalition for pediatric cancer patients and research. Hannah also enjoys playing the flute, fencing, reading, and writing, to name a few of her favorite hobbies.
